While Dave and I planned on visiting London at the end of September, our itinerary changed after Dave's appendix decided it was outy! After spending a few days recovering, Dave was back on his feet and we were both ready to enjoy the last few days in Malta before leaving for France. We decided to take a day voyage on a boat called The Fernandes. It sailed around Malta, and past Comino and Gozo (two small neighboring islands!). It was a very relaxing day and we both got some serious sun (and I am referring to sun burn!).
The beginning of the voyage! All smiles:))
The most beautiful water EVER. The pictures don't really do justice.
The Blue Lagoon. This is a popular area off of the island of Comino.
You could see the fish!
Dave and I took an additional boat cruise through the caves near Comino. It was very cool!
Shallow waters of the Blue Lagoon. It has to be the clearest water in the world!
We had to duck our heads in order to get through the beginning of this cave.
Just amazing!
Look close: It's Australia upside down!
And South America! haha
The Fernandes! It was a pretty cool boat. I am glad I popped a Dramamine before though.
A few other boats in the Blue Lagoon.
A lookout across the area.
The small coves used to be used as pirate hide-outs.
